SST activities

Key activities include:

1. Clarification of key components of security sector transformation, including key actors, activities, resources and expertise;
2. Compiling best practices based on case studies;
3. Developing regional implementation guidelines;
4. Developing tools for monitoring and evaluation of progress;
5. Providing expert and technical support to the policy making process;
6. Providing support for implementation of SST at national level, including training, needs assessments and the development of national implementation plans.
 

Past activities and achievements:

1. Facilitated the process that led to the development of the Common African Defence and Security Policy (2004)
